There are a total of 454 animal husbandry companies in Kaohsiung City that have pasture registration certificate or livestock and poultry breeding registration certificate. Currently, 450 are in operation and 4 are temporarily suspended. Among the 450 operating companies, 360 have obtained basic emission permits, including 323 swine farming (including 3 with less than 200 swines), 30 cattle farming and 7 companies with other species (duck, sheep, horses, and deer). According to statistics, as of November 30, 2021, 112 livestock farms in Kaohsiung City have obtained approval for the use of biogas slurry and biogas residue, of which 107 are swine farms and 5 are cattle farms. The total irrigation area is 129.1 hectares, with an annual irrigation rate of 155,075.4 metric tons. Fruit trees (banana, guava, mango) are the main types of irrigation crops, followed by rice, vegetables, grains and other crops. A total of 55 livestock farms in the Erren River Basin have obtained the approval for the use of biogas slurry and biogas residue agricultural land, and 27 household crowns are the key station - upstream of Guting Bridge, 41 livestock farms in the Agongdian River Basin have obtained the biogas slurry and biogas residue agricultural land fertilizer, the key station - the upper reaches of Chianchou Bridge has the most. A total of 96 livestock farms in the two watersheds have obtained approval for the use of biogas slurry and biogas residue, accounting for 85.7% of the total approved number.
